My wife got a job offer on contract basis for 3 months. I am on h1 and she is on h4 so far. I am planning to stay on h1 itself. If my wife accepts this job using EAD, Does my status also changes? Is it okay if she dont find a job after this contract expires, what status she will be in during that time, h4 or EAD?
Please advice, Thanks a lot ....

yes, 485 processing and 140 processing is different. They are joined thread, So they will not approve 485 until your 140 is approved.
Thanks Marphad. BTW, do you have any idea what could they possibly ask for 485. I provided everything they've asked for when I first filed the case. If not, I guess I'll find out in a few days.....

I understand the 180 days rule after filing 485. what if the eb3(140 approved) based 485 has been pending for 180 days, and a newly approved eb2 140 has just been ported to the pending 485.
Is there a rule that the 180 days started over again after porting, since it's a new 140, which implys the applicant intends to work for the 140 position for a period of time.
What are the risks if the applicant changes the job right after eb2 140 gets approved, and changed the underlining 140 of the pending 485 from eb3 to the newly approved eb2.
Any comments are really appriciated.

Is it ok if the address I�m going to give is different 'state' from the 'state' I�m living in .

I am applying for a green card and my lawyer sent me a case number starting with an A and in the format : A-#####-##### for my PERM.
I tried http://pds.pbls.doleta.gov/ but it does not accept case numbers starting with "A".
Can you please tell me where I can go to look at the status of this application?
The attorneys have a login when they file the PERM electronically and only they can track or the employer can track it. As far as i know it is not open to public.

Hi,
I had my last name misspelled and middle name missing on my filed perm labor application and it was filed on 12/12/2007. It was selected for audit in Feb 2008 and have not received any update until now. Can this error in my name be corrected on my application. Please advice.
Sorry to say this, but it was dumb to have sent an application with misspelled last name! You got to check and recheck before filing it.
DOL audits do take a long time, write to them about the error. Also, get the help of an attorney (labor or immigration)

Hi !!!
i was suffered fm TB long time back around 5 yrs back .... i am scared whether due to this reason my I-485 gonna be rejected. I already went trought the full 9 months medication at that time and been fully cures as my own mamaji was a TB specialist.
Can someone suggest me if they have gone through the same case. And if i need any documents to let them know that i am fully cured because my X-ray shows that spot/scars which says that i had TB and my mamaji told me that the scars will never go because of the medcation thing?? Please help

I agree with you that you need to go with lawyers who are really specialized in immigration especially when the case is complicated.
I know a person whos company lawyer screwed up the case. (They are from a very reputed law firm). Then she went with Murthy, they did a great job and got it done for her. They charged her a lot but it was worth it.
So get the best out there. It may be expensive but if it fixes your case its worth it.

How long on average does it take to get labor approval into my lawyers' hands from BEC once it is approved (certified status shown on the BEC website).
